Joe's house was specially built to accommodate a huge cinema pipe organ. The very odd looking three story stucco unit still stands today but minus the pipe organ. I knew a fellow who was renting Kearns' house back in the early 70's. Talk about one strange looking and layed out home. The organ was still in the home, although it was not working. Joe Kearns certainly seemed like your proverbial eccentric!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805177506426443892.post-10754371660624474922018-01-22T11:00:14.442-05:002018-01-22T11:00:14.442-05:00i totally agree..he was too skinny and tall and to...i totally agree..he was too skinny and tall and too old..bobby buntrock would have been perfect for the part. or even his friend tommy.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805177506426443892.post-89618799649175090402017-12-15T00:02:43.715-05:002017-12-15T00:02:43.715-05:00Would be interesting to hear a few of the several ...Would be interesting to hear a few of the several hundred passed over for the role relate on how badly they wanted to get it. My late pop, never wanted to hear a word about how much an actor hated the role they played, because it ruined his enjoyment of their performance.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01123645950027272391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805177506426443892.post-16730178504805701182017-04-23T13:54:31.777-04:002017-04-23T13:54:31.777-04:00I remember seeing Jay North when I was in Boot Cam...I remember seeing Jay North when I was in Boot Camp in Orlando Florida. He always had all of the Chief Petty Officers and Petty Officers criwded around him wanting to talk to him or get his autograph. Quite different from my experience. He is quoted in a Washington Post interview in 1978 say he was good naturedly teased by his shipmates. I would hate to have to tell the world that I got out of the Navy because my shipmates were being mean to me and I had to have my mother call and get me out of the Navy. He says he never ever got to do what he wanted to do in life, and his mother says he was the one who wanted to be on television. It just does not add up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805177506426443892.post-1846844088092147962017-03-30T21:56:26.493-04:002017-03-30T21:56:26.493-04:00Dorothy's maiden name was Cotton and this make...Dorothy's maiden name was Cotton and this makes Jay North a very distant cousin to actor Joseph Cotten.Mike Cottennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805177506426443892.post-44120080106879392722015-12-07T13:13:55.959-05:002015-12-07T13:13:55.959-05:00Dennis the Menace had the most irritating and obno...Dennis the Menace had the most irritating and obnoxious loud voice. Dorothy was a resident of Lake Butler and I assume she moved there to be near her son Jay and his wife Cindy. Note: The information on the obituary is based on information from the U.S. Government's Social Security Death Index.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18303862386440522922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805177506426443892.post-84323419082385331792013-06-17T17:04:19.816-04:002013-06-17T17:04:19.816-04:00Does anyone know the details of Jay North's mo...Does anyone know the details of Jay North's mother, Dorothy North.
