About TV Banter

As a researcher for many years at the Toronto Star newspaper library, I developed a keen appreciation for reference material.  I thoroughly enjoy doing research and discovering fascinating trivia.  As long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for old television shows and I am intrigued by the fads and fashions of different eras.  Television reflects those eras right down to the popular jargon o the time, the style of the cars and the way women are portrayed.

I have a vast collection of DVDs and I watch them constantly.  It is fun to spot famous actors before their careers have taken off.  For example, I've seen Robert Redford on The Twilight Zone and Burt Reynolds on Perry Mason.

My mission is to connect online with people who share my interest in television.  I need your feedback and participation.  I enjoy making quizzes and they will appear on this website every so often.  It is my hope that you will try the quizzes and that you will find them entertaining and interesting.  It is also my hope that you will send me your questions and comments.

Thank you for spending time with TV Banter.

  4. Thank you, Joanne, for this great article. I wasn't a big fan of TV, but now I see that I need to pay some attention to this. Lately I paid all my time to deal rooms . Very interesting must say.
