Kristin Harmon Nelson and her sister, Kelly Harmon

On January 17, 2011, I wrote about Kristin Harmon Nelson and her years on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.  I also wrote about her life as an artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  The response I have received to that posting has been overwhelming. It was viewed by far more people than anything else I have written on TV Banter.  I had no idea there was so much interest in Kris.  It appears that many readers would like to see more current photos of her.  If that includes you, click on the link below to read a 2008 interview (including more recent pictures) with Kris Harmon Nelson on
In my blog entry of January 17, I failed to mention a couple of noteworthy items about Kris Harmon Nelson.
* In 1975, Kris played the role of Jean Reed, the wife of Officer Jim Reed (Kent McCord) in four episodes of the police series Adam-12.
* I also neglected to mention that in addition to her famous brother Mark Harmon, Kristin has a younger sister, actress Kelly Harmon.  Kelly was born in Los Angeles County, California on November 9, 1948 and is 62 years old.   At 59, brother Mark is the baby of the family.
In the 1980s, Kelly Harmon made appearances on such television series as Barnaby Jones (1980), The Incredible Hulk (1980), Nero Wolfe (1981) and T.J. Hooker (1982).  In 1981, she played the role of Jane Lewis on the popular daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless.  In the 1980s and 1990s, Kelly Harmon appeared in television commercials for Tic-Tac and was known as the Tic-Tac girl.  To view videos of her Tic Tac ads, click on the link below.
Kelly Harmon

Kelly has the distinction of being the second of the four wives of automobile magnate, John DeLorean.  They married on May 31, 1969 and divorced in 1972.  DeLorean, born January 6, 1925, was much older than Kelly.  The car mogul died at the age of 80 in 2005.

On June 23, 1984, Kelly Harmon married publisher Robert L. "Bob" Miller.  According to.a report in The New  York Times, the wedding ceremony took place at the bride's home in Brentwood, California. The couple divorced in 1985.

Since 2002, Kelly Harmon has been an artist and interior designer in Los Angeles.

  1. When I was 12 years old in 1975, I thought Kelly Harmon was so incredibly beautiful that I really wish I looked like her.

  2. On the right side of my postings, you can find boxes to subscribe to TV Banter or you can click to become a follower. - Joanne

  3. The 3 Harmon siblings sure do have a great gene pool...they are all SO attractive!

    1. Their mom was Elyse Know, an actress and pin-up girl during WW2. Their dad was Tom Harmon, a Hiesman trophy winner. So that's the gene pool!

    2. I think you made a typo. Their mother was Elyse Knox.

  4. Does Kelly Harmon have any children? One article said she had a child with Delorean but cannot find any other mention of a child. anyone know?

  5. According to his obituary in the New York Times, John DeLorean had three children. He had a daughter named Kathryn DeLorean with his third wife, model Cristina Ferrare. Kathryn was born on November 15, 1977. DeLorean also had a daughter named Sheila Baldwin DeLorean (I assume with his fourth wife, Sally Baldwin - haven't been able to find out whether Sheila was adopted or if she is DeLorean's biological daughter). His other child was a son named Zachary Tavio DeLorean whom he adopted as a single father after his breakup with second wife Kelly Harmon. As far as I can determine, Kelly Harmon has no children. If anyone knows differently, please inform the readers of TV Banter.

  6. I think I just saw Kelly Harmon on Three's Company rerun. I am wondering how she is these days. Does anyone know? I've loved the Harmon family for years.

  7. Kelly Harmon is now an interior designer. She had a son with John DeLorean, as I understand it. And she and Robert Miller had two daughters according to a 1990's era town and country magazine article I saw. They were still married at that time - not divorced in 1985 as I read here.

  8. Thanks for your input. I should have mentioned that "according to the IMDb website", Kelly Harmon has been divorced from Robert L. Miller since September 1, 1985. The New York Times account of their wedding states that Miller's previous marriage ended in divorce. It does refer to any children from that marriage, but I have seen some non-sourced references to children from his previous union.

As I have mentioned, according to John DeLorean's obituary in the New York Times, Delorean adopted a son named Zachery Tavio DeLorean as a single father after his breakup with Kelly Harmon. The obituary does not say that Delorean and Kelly had any children. Yes, I have seen some sketchy references to Kelly and Robert L. Miller having two daughters, but it remains murky. In fact, I have found that a lot of the information on Kelly is contradictory or confusing.

Town and Country once did a spread on Kelly's Sagaponack vacation house on Long Island. That may have been the article you read. Unfortunately, I do not have the date of the article.

  9. There is a family picture of the Harmon's with Kelly and a young son named "Dino" not sure who the father was. Also seen the picture spread with her two daughter's they I did assume were from her marriage to Robert.
